Helpful Hints for Keeping Permanent Florals Looking New

·       Use a feather duster weekly to prevent dust and other particle build up.

·       If dust does start to build up, spray leaves with a squirt bottle (filled with water and mild detergent) and gently wipe down with a dampened sponge—or simply wet a sponge and wipe lightly.

·       Blow dust away with a hair drying on a cool temperature setting.  This should be done frequently for florals.

·       A small air compressor with a long handled wand can be used for large trees (i.e. bottled air or a bicycle pump)

·       Like any other fabric or upholstery, direct sunlight can cause fading.  Therefore, keep trees and other arrangements out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.

·       Be mindful that all silk products can be used outdoors, but direct sunlight and other weather elements such as wind and rain will cause quicker fading and possibly even damage.  Take care to bring silks in during unpleasant weather and avoid keeping outdoors for prolonged periods of time, as well.

·       Fluffing and re-shaping should be done on a regular basis.
